Ritual Movement & Sacred Drum Making Workshop
Step into a day of deep remembrance, rhythm and embodiment.This unique offering weaves together feminine embodied movement and the sacred creation of your own drum, guiding you home to your body, your breath and your inner rhythm.
We begin in gentle ceremony, opening a safe and held space where you are invited to soften, arrive and connect. Through guided ritual movement inspired by feminine flow, intuitive yoga and somatic release the body opens and so too does the heart.
From this place, we move into the sacred act of drum making.
You will be guided step-by-step to create your own 16” round natural shamanic drum & beater… infused with your energy, your intentions and your spirit.
As you weave and shape your drum, you are also weaving connection, to the Earth, to the deers spirit and to the ancient rhythm that lives within you.
Throughout the day, there will be moments of stillness, reflection and connection, honouring the sacredness of this creation.
We close in circle, honouring the drum you have created…holding it, connecting with it and setting intentions for the journey you will share together.

Sacred Medicine Drum?
Birthing your own medicine drum is a deeply spiritual and transformative experience. The sacred deer skins are held in ceremony under the light of the full moon, infusing them with the energy of the cosmos with further sacred ceremonies take place prior to your arrival. Before you work with the deer skin you will be asked to connect with the spirit of the deer, where you will receive insight and let them know, that you will hold them with love forever more.
As you assemble the drum, you are not just creating a musical instrument but a powerful tool for healing and connection. The act of bringing together the frame, the skin and the lacing is a reflection of the unity of all things and as you work, you are tapping into the ancient wisdom of the drum and the spirit world.
Finally, when your drum is complete, you hold it close to your heart and feel the vibrations of your own heartbeat resonating within it. This connection between you and the drum is a profound and intimate one, as you become one with the spirit of the drum and allow its healing energies to flow through you.
Birthing your own medicine drum is a unique and powerful experience that will stay with you for a lifetime. It is a journey of self-discovery, connection and transformation as you bring your heartbeats into harmony with the heartbeat of the universe.

A Deeply Personal 1-1 Journey of Connection, Intention & Creation
On the day of your workshop, you step into a space held with care, sacredness and intention. The full deer hide awaits, already prepared and infused with plant medicine, ready for you to weave your energy and intention into every part of your drum. You will choose exactly where your hoop sits, cut every piece of your drum, and shape it in a way that is uniquely yours.
As your hands touch the hide, you are invited to journey with the spirit of the deer. Through the use of sacred smoke (Mapacho), smudge and sacred voice, you will connect, clear and attune, opening your heart to insights and expressing your heartfelt commitment to honour the spirit of the deer. This intimate moment allows you to feel the drum’s heartbeat and begin a lifelong relationship with your spirit ally, created with love, reverence and intention.
In this private 1-1 experience, the entire day is focused on your unique journey. I provide dedicated guidance and support throughout, allowing you to explore every aspect of the drum-making process, from the material, to the spiritual, to the symbolic at your own pace. The setting fosters profound connection and reflection, giving you the freedom to follow your intuition, engage with personal rituals and fully immerse yourself in the transformative process.
You will have the space to explore your insights, intentions and emotions deeply, creating a drum that is not only crafted with your hands but alive with your personal energy, story and heart.

Working With the Elements, Directions & Ancestors
Every part of your drum is created in connection with the natural world and the sacred traditions that honour it. This is not simply a creative process, it is a spiritual one, where the space is held with intention from beginning to end.
During the workshop, I gently call in the sacred directions and the ancestors, creating a protected and grounded space for your drum to be born. This allows the day to feel deeply held, supported and spiritually connected.
At the same time, we work closely with the elements throughout the entire process:
Earth – the crystal at the heart of your drum, the fallen branch that becomes your drum beater and the grounding energy that supports the entire process
Water – the deer hide is soaked and gently infused in water before the workshop begins, allowing it to soften while absorbing plant medicine and intention
Fire – flame is present during the ceremonies and intention-setting, representing transformation, strength and renewal
Air – sacred smoke is used to cleanse the tools, the materials and the space, helping you begin the day feeling calm, clear and energetically grounded
Plant Energy – the hide is lovingly infused with plant medicine from my garden and you will be guided to connect with the spirit of the plants that have supported the creation of your drum
Sun & Moon – the hide is prepared in harmony with the natural rhythms of the sun and moon, honouring the sacred cycles of life, growth, release and renewal
A Sacred Journey From Beginning to Birth
Throughout the day, you are gently guided through a series of spiritual connections so that your drum is not simply made, it is awakened.
You will be guided to connect with:
The spirit of the deer
The spirit of the hoop
The spirit of the finished drum
The plants that have infused the hide
The crystal that will sit at the centre of your drum
The fallen branch that becomes your drum beater
Rather than simply using these elements, you are invited to honour them, connect with them and thank them. This makes the entire experience deeply meaningful and incredibly personal.
A Day That Flows Like Ceremony
The whole day is held gently and intentionally from beginning to end, allowing you to slow down, connect with yourself and fully experience the sacredness of what you are creating.
During the day you will experience:
A heart-opening cacao ceremony
Guided meditations at key stages of the drum’s creation
Sacred smoke cleansing of the tools and materials
Soft background music to create a calm and peaceful space
Journaling moments throughout the day to capture your thoughts and insights
The opportunity to stain and personalise your hoop
Writing an intention card to your drum
A shared lunch in a calm and sacred atmosphere
A sacred blessing and activation once your drum is complete
You will also receive a small bundle of flowers or foliage to take home with you, allowing the connection you have created during the day to continue long after you leave.

Duration: Full Day 10 AM - 5:30 PM (Approx)
Prices start at £380 for a natural 16" round drum
Larger drums, alternative shapes and custom finishes are available if you feel called to something more unique.
You'll create a 16" medicine drum and a handcrafted drum beater from a personally collected fallen branch.
Feel free to bring a special crystal to weave into the centre of your drum, ribbons, feathers etc. for the beater. Maybe you'd like to add artwork, colour or etchings to your hoop to add that personal touch to your creation.

A Sacred Journey of Creation
Crafting Your Ocean Drum
An ocean drum is more than an instrument, it is a vessel of water’s wisdom, carrying the rhythm of the waves, the ebb and flow of life and the healing power of sound. Each turn of the drum becomes a meditation, a song of remembrance for the oceans that connect us all.
In this 1–1 full-day workshop, you will be guided on a sacred journey to create your own ocean drum. Every step of the process, from preparing your hoop to the hide is an opportunity to weave your intention, energy and spirit into your creation.
Opening the Space
We begin by calling in the spirit of the wood, deer and waters. Through sacred smoke, sound and guided meditation, you will connect with all, asking for guidance, offering gratitude and setting your intentions for the journey ahead. This ceremony prepares both you and the materials to come together in harmony.
The Crafting Process
Your Hoop:
A 3” deep 16” round hoop will form the body of your drum. You may paint, stain, or decorate it in the colours of your soul perhaps invoking the blues of the sea, the golds of sunlight, or the earthy tones of shoreline and stone.
The Hide:
Choose a plain natural hide for simplicity or a dyed hide if you feel called to colour and vibrancy.
The Filling:
Select what will flow inside your drum. I provide traditional ball bearings for a wave-like sound but you can infuse your drum with tiny crystals, shells, or stones, carrying the healing memory of the earth and sea.
The Weaving:
As you bring your drum together, each action becomes an act of sealing your intentions into the drum, creating not only an instrument but a sacred companion for meditation, ceremony and healing work.
Closing the Journey
Once your drum is complete, we honour the spirit of the deer and the waters once more, blessing your creation and awakening its voice. You will leave with a powerful ocean drum, alive with your energy, your story and the timeless song of the sea.
