'Wild Bohemian'
Awaken The Free Spirit Within
Wild Bohemian, is a women's circle of movement, ritual and sound at The Yurt in the Garden.
Working with the five elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Spirit, we weave together gentle yoga-inspired movement, breathwork, mudras, oracle reflection, restorative sound and free-spirited dance.
A space to reconnect with yourself, embrace your playful side and simply enjoy being you.
A little wild. A little bohemian. Completely you.
A 2hr Women's Circle of Movement, Ritual & Sound
WILD BOHEMIAN
Awaken the free spirit within.
When Was the Last Time You Felt Completely Free?
Not free from responsibility forever.
Just free for a little while.
Free from the endless things that need doing, the people who need you, the expectations you carry and the roles you've become so accustomed to playing.
When was the last time you moved simply because the music made you want to?
When you laughed without worrying how you looked?
When you allowed yourself to be playful, expressive, a little untamed?
Somewhere along the way, it's easy to lose touch with that part of ourselves.
The woman who danced around the kitchen.
Who sang along to her favourite songs.
Who didn't always worry about doing things properly or getting everything right.
But she's still there.
And perhaps she doesn't need fixing, changing or reinventing.
Perhaps she simply needs a little space to come out and play.
Welcome to Wild Bohemian.
A place to move, breathe, explore and reconnect with the free spirit within.
A Little Wild. A Little Bohemian. Completely You.
Wild Bohemian is a two-hour women's circle where embodied movement, feminine ritual, music and sound come together.

Rooted in the five elements of Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether (Spirit), each gathering invites us to explore the different qualities of these elements through movement, breath, mudras, ritual and reflection.
Earth invites us to ground and find our centre.
Water encourages us to soften, surrender and flow.
Fire awakens our passion, confidence and inner spark.
Air brings freedom, breath and a sense of possibility.
And Ether (Spirit) invites us to connect with something beyond the everyday, whatever that means to us individually.
We weave together gentle yoga-inspired movement, drawing from Dru and Hatha Yoga, breathwork, mudras, anointing, ritual, free-spirited dance and restorative rest.
It's not a conventional yoga class.
It's not a dance class.
And it's certainly not about perfect postures, complicated routines or keeping up with anybody else.
It's about finding joy in movement, reconnecting with your body and allowing yourself to experience something a little different.
Some moments are quiet and reflective.
Others are playful, expressive and full of movement.
We begin in stillness and end in freedom.
Beginning in Stillness
We begin by finding a comfortable place to settle.
You might choose to lie back in Savasana, rest in Child's Pose or simply sit comfortably.
There's no expectation to hold a particular posture.
Through the gentle sounds of singing bowls and a restorative sound experience, we allow ourselves to arrive.
To soften.
To breathe.
And to leave the outside world behind for a little while.
From this place of stillness, we gently introduce breathwork and mudras, reconnecting with our bodies through simple, meaningful gestures.
A shared herbal tea is offered as we settle into the circle, creating a moment of connection before moving into our personal reflections.
Your Three-Card Story
Every woman has a story.
Not just the one other people see, but the one unfolding quietly beneath the surface.
Within Wild Bohemian, we take a little time to explore that story through three oracle cards.
Using gentle journaling prompts, you're invited to reflect on what the cards mean to you.
Perhaps they'll bring a little clarity.
Perhaps they'll remind you of something you've forgotten.
Or perhaps they'll simply give you a moment to sit with your own thoughts.
There are no right or wrong interpretations.
And you never have to share anything you would rather keep to yourself.
Your story belongs to you.
Movement That Tells a Story
From our reflections, we begin to move.
Starting with gentle restorative postures, we allow our bodies to awaken in their own time.
As we gradually rise from the floor, our movements begin to flow.
Drawing inspiration from Dru and Hatha Yoga, we explore sequences that tell a story through the five elements.
We might feel the grounding strength of Earth beneath our feet, move with the fluidity of Water, awaken the warmth and energy of Fire, open ourselves to the freedom of Air or find a moment of connection through Ether.
Each posture, gesture and mudra carries its own meaning, inviting us to explore the elements not simply as something around us, but as qualities we can recognise within ourselves.
These are movements with meaning, rather than postures to perfect.
You don't need to be flexible.
You don't need to have practised yoga.
And you certainly don't need to look like anybody else.
The invitation is simply to notice how movement feels within your own body.
And Then We Let the Music Lead...
As our movement becomes more expressive, the music begins to change.
And out come the coin belts!
There's something wonderful about the gentle sound of coins moving as you sway your hips, the rhythm of the music and the freedom of moving without choreography.
You might dance.
You might sway.
You might shuffle your feet or simply move your arms to the rhythm.
You might even surprise yourself.
There are no steps to learn, nobody watching to see whether you're doing it correctly and absolutely no expectation to perform.
It's simply an opportunity to enjoy yourself.
To laugh.
To move.
To feel a little more alive.
And rather than bringing the energy back down into a long meditation, we finish with that beautiful sense of freedom, expression and joy.
A reminder that sometimes the most wonderful thing we can do for ourselves is simply have fun.
You Don't Have to Be Confident to Come
I know that for some women, the thought of walking into a room where there's yoga, movement or dancing can feel a little intimidating.
Especially if you haven't done anything like it before.
But Wild Bohemian isn't about being confident, flexible or knowing what you're doing.
It's about giving yourself permission to try.
Everything is an invitation.
You can adapt movements, take breaks or simply enjoy the music.
You don't have to dance if you don't want to.
You don't have to share your journaling.
And you don't have to arrive feeling particularly wild or bohemian!
Just come as you are.
Who Is Wild Bohemian For?
For the woman who has spent years putting everyone else first.
For the woman who misses the carefree parts of herself.
For the woman who wants to reconnect with her body without the pressure of exercise or performance.
For the woman who loves music, movement, ritual and a little bit of magic.
For the woman who wants to try something new, meet other women and enjoy a couple of hours away from everyday life.
And for the woman who simply thinks, “That sounds like fun.”
Because not everything we do has to be about working through something.
Sometimes, we deserve to do something simply because it makes us feel good.
