A Women's Half-Day Retreat of Ritual, Reflection & Deep Rest
SACRED DAYS
Coming home to your heart.
When Was the Last Time You Had Three Hours That Were
Entirely Yours?
Three whole hours.
Without somebody needing something.
Without a list of jobs waiting to be finished.
Without feeling that you should be somewhere else, doing something more productive.
When was the last time you allowed yourself to stop?
Not because you were exhausted.
Not because you had reached the point where you couldn't carry on.
But simply because you deserved a little time for yourself.
As women, we can become so accustomed to looking after everybody else that taking time for ourselves begins to feel like a luxury.
We tell ourselves we'll rest when everything is done.
When the house is sorted.
When work is quieter.
When the children don't need quite so much.
When life settles down.
But life has a funny way of always finding something else for us to do.
And somewhere amongst all that giving, caring, organising and holding everything together, we can forget that we need looking after, too.
Sometimes, we don't need another thing to achieve.
Another problem to solve.
Or another person telling us what we should be doing.
Sometimes, we simply need somewhere warm and welcoming where we can put everything down for a little while.
Welcome to Sacred Days.
A place to rest, reflect, reconnect and enjoy a few precious hours that belong entirely to you.
Your Little Sanctuary Away From the World
Sacred Days is a three-hour women's half-day retreat held within the beautiful surroundings of The Yurt in the Garden.
Created as a space for women to step away from everyday life, Sacred Days brings together grounding, ritual, EFT, ceremonial cacao, meditation, sound and gentle reflection.
For almost four years, these gatherings have brought women together, with many returning month after month.
Some women come because life feels particularly busy.
Some are moving through changes or difficult times.
Others simply love having something in their diary that is entirely for themselves.
And all of those reasons are equally welcome.
You don't need to arrive with something to work through.
You don't need to share your personal story.
And you certainly don't need to feel guilty about taking a little time for yourself.
For these three hours, you're invited to simply be.
Arriving & Grounding
As you enter the yurt, you'll find your own comfortable space waiting for you.
Soft blankets, cushions, the warmth of the fire and the gentle atmosphere of the yurt help create a little sanctuary away from the outside world.
We begin with grounding, accompanied by the sound of the drum.
Through a gentle guided journey, we imagine our roots reaching deep into the earth, allowing ourselves to feel supported, settled and present.
There's nothing you need to achieve.
Just time to arrive.
EFT - Creating a Little Breathing Space
We gently introduce Emotional Freedom Technique, often known as EFT or tapping.
Through simple tapping sequences, we create an opportunity to calm our mind and settle into the experience.
You don't need to understand EFT or have tried it before.
Everything is explained and participation is always your choice.
Drum, Gong & Fire Ritual
Through the deep, resonant sounds of the drum and gong, we create a space for reflection and symbolic release.
Sometimes we carry thoughts, worries or emotions that we rarely make time to acknowledge.
Our gentle release ritual offers an opportunity to consider what we may be ready to put down.
This may be something significant.
Or it may simply be the busyness and demands of the week.
Through a symbolic fire ritual, we give ourselves permission to leave a little of that weight behind. There's no pressure to share or explore anything that doesn't feel comfortable.
Ceremonial Cacao – A Moment for the Heart
We gather with ceremonial cacao, taking time to honour this beautiful plant tradition and gently turn our attention inward.
Through heart-opening words, quiet reflection and a little time just for ourselves, we're invited to reconnect with our hearts, listen to what we need and offer ourselves some of the love and kindness we so freely give to others.
A gentle, nurturing ceremony where we can soften, reconnect and set a heartfelt intention for ourselves.

Intention, Oracle Cards & Journaling
From this place of heart connection, we move into a beautiful moment of personal intention, symbolically honouring what we wish to welcome into our lives.
Through candlelight, oracle cards and gentle journaling, we're invited to explore our own thoughts, feelings and inner wisdom.
Sometimes a card offers a new perspective. Sometimes it simply reminds us of something we already know deep within.
There are no right or wrong interpretations, no expectations and nothing you need to share.
Just a little time to listen to yourself.

Guided Meditation & Sound Bath
Then comes one of the most restful parts of Sacred Days.
Settled comfortably in your own space, you're invited to close your eyes and enjoy a gentle guided meditation. As the words begin to fade, the beautiful sounds of singing bowls and other instruments fill the yurt.
There is nothing to do.
Nowhere else to be.
You don't need to meditate perfectly.
You don't even need to stay awake!
Simply allow yourself to enjoy the experience in whatever way feels comfortable.
For some women, this is a moment of deep relaxation.
For others, it's simply the pleasure of being able to lie down without anybody asking them to get up and do something.
And sometimes, that's more than enough.
Tea, Cake & Connection
We finish our Sacred Day with tea, cake and a little time together.
There is an opportunity to reflect on the morning, share an experience or simply enjoy the company of the other women.
Our sharing circle is always optional.
Some women love to talk.
Some prefer to listen.
And others simply hold the talking stick, smile and say thank you.
Every way of participating is welcome.

Your Own Space, Your Own Experience
One of the things that makes Sacred Days so special is that every woman has her own comfortable space within the yurt.
You can settle in, close your eyes and enjoy the experience without feeling that you need to interact or participate in every element.
There is no expectation to share personal experiences.
No pressure to feel a particular way.
And no requirement to have any previous experience of meditation, sound baths, cacao ceremonies or women's circles.
You can simply come with an open heart and enjoy being looked after for a change.
Who Is Sacred Days For?
For the woman who is always there for everybody else.
For the woman who feels as though life never quite slows down.
For the woman who wants somewhere peaceful to rest and recharge.
For the woman who enjoys ritual, meditation, sound and gentle reflection.
For the woman who would love to meet others in a welcoming, supportive space.
And for the woman who simply wants three hours where she doesn't have to do anything for anybody. She can just BE
You don't need a reason to rest.
You don't need to earn it.
And you don't need to wait until you're exhausted.
Sometimes, wanting a little time for yourself is reason enough.
